Apart of my Major Project on the theme of gender I wanted to create a focus on how as a society we push gender roles and stereotype onto children through the toys they play with, todo this I created a series of 'Frankenstine' toys to show the contrast between action figures for boys and babies/dolls for girls.
I then took these toys and created a new cover for an Argos Catalogue however, changing the name to 'The Gendered Catalogue' and other the copy on the cover to highlight the gender stereotyping that occurs in these catalogues.
