During my 3th year at university I completed a full time placement with Let's Talk, a young persons charity with a focus on mental and sexual health based in the Craigmiller area in Edinburgh.
My main role here was to create visuals for print (you can read more about my main placement here) however, I was lucky enough to get involved in the other placement running at the time where a group of students were designing and installing murals throughout the building, they were also working alongside an interior designer to help incorporate the murals into the interior design. With this placement my role was to help in the design process giving feedback and contributing to some areas of the designs and help installing the murals.
The brief with the murals was to being the outside inside as research has proven that being out in the environment helps individuals to be clam and comfortable, therefore Let's Talk wanted to recreate this within their budding through the murals. I had an influence and helped in all murals however, I had the most involvement in the mural in the reception area as I more involved in the design stage and specifically focus on the area that involved the illustration of the Let's Talk building when painting the mural .
